Do you want to retain your independence and stay in your home, but need some support from time to time?
If so, Shipston Care is on hand to help. Our hourly care at home service is dedicated to helping you to stay at home and enjoy your quality of life.
We achieve this by providing you with a personalised support plan to assist you in areas where you need it most.
This support may be as little as once a week, perhaps for a trip out or a bathing service; or perhaps you need assistance at regular, multiple times during the day.
A Home Carer from Shipston Care can offer assistance in many areas of everyday living, including, but not limited to:
• Personal care, including continence care, bathing or dressing
• Meal preparation
• Medication handling
• Light housekeeping
• Feeding and walking pets
• Driving you to appointments, meetings and social engagements
We also offer ‘companionship’ care. This can be anything from sitting and having a cup of tea and a chat, going for a trip to a garden centre, or taking you to visit old friends in a nearby village.
Our visits to your own home can be started from just 30 minutes per call. This can extend to several visits a day with longer visits as required. Basically, we can accommodate whatever your requirement of us is and our services are available 365 days of the year.
It is important that you do not feel you are losing your dignity and independence by receiving care, and hope that you see this as an opportunity to enhance and improve your life. It is our job to ensure you retain your independence as much as possible, and will encourage you to complete as many tasks as you can yourself.
We arrive at the same, pre-agreed time each day for each of your calls, so you will know when to expect us. Furthermore, we do not schedule back-to-back calls, and ensure that there is sufficient time allocated to your call
for all tasks to be completed without rushing.
We minimise the number of faces you see, as this enables you to form a bond with your carer, and vice versa.
At Shipston Care we believe it is important that you are in control of your care package; therefore, if you have a preferred carer, we will endeavour allocate them to you as often as possible.
All our carers are DBS checked, go through a rigorous induction process and receive ongoing training throughout
their career with us.
